Welcome to my Private Practice!
A safe space to connect, heal and grow
Mindful Experiential Therapy
How I Work
I guide and support clients as they recover what might feel lost or latent, whether it's aliveness, authenticity, purpose, self-connection, and/or a more meaningful connection with others.
My approach is gentle, interactive, collaborative, and emphasizes empathy and self-acceptance as a foundation for genuine growth and change.
My first priority is to create a warm and welcoming place in which you can safely share the issues that have brought you to therapy.
I listen with care to what you're saying, but also to the "music" of tone, body language, and what is not spoken. I'll be curious about patterns in how you relate to yourself and to others. I'll encourage you to practice this generous attention--this presence-- toward yourself and in your relationships.
I work with the here-and-now, noticing and tracking what is happening as we engage in conversation; I'll also explore how your early life experiences continue to shape how you perceive and react to what's happening in your life now.
Attending to both present and past, mind and body, can bring grounding and relief. There's more space to untangle from the old strategies you've been relying on to protect yourself from life. You discover that you have a measure of freedom, regardless of what's happening out there, or in someone else.
With this freedom, you can relate to yourself, to others, and to circumstances, from a place in you that feels warm, gentle, secure. More patient about the unknown, a bit clearer about the path you're on. Able to respond more flexibly to the complexity and opportunities of your life.
